About Us
In 1981, a group of concerned community members began meeting to discuss the lack of emergency food programs in the Arvada area. Gathering input from churches, city government, the business community and service clubs as well as providers of other human services, they determined the need to start the Arvada Community Food Bank (ACFB). In 1982, ACFB began distributing food to those in need, an effort that is now in its 26th year.
