The Once-A-Month Food for Seniors and 5-Year Olds Program

Description

The Arvada Community Food Bank partners with the USDA Commodity Supplemental Food Program and the Food Bank of the Rockies, once a month, to provide a box of nutritionally balanced food for low-income seniors and 5-year old children not yet in school from low income families.

Food boxes are distributed the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

Requirements

To receive food through this program a client must live within the service area. Bring a picture ID, a piece of mail dated within the last 30 days and proof of income (one of the following: SSI award letter, bank statement, OAP/VA pension statement, W-2, recent pay stub, employer statement, subsidized housing verification or food stamp award letter). To qualify a child who is 5 and not yet in school the parent must live within the service area, bring a picture ID (from any country), a piece of mail dated within the last 30 days, and proof of income ( one of the following a paycheck stub, birth certificate for the 5 year old (from any country), guardianship letter if child is not living with parents.
