Arvada Community Food Bank provides effective hunger relief programs to qualifying individuals in need of emergency food within the northern Jefferson County community.
Our vision is that no one goes to bed hungry in the northern Jefferson County community.
From the beginning the Arvada Community Food Bank has worked with city government, churches, schools, civic organizations, businesses and private citizens to ensure that the residents of Arvada and surrounding communities would have a place to go for emergency food.
The Arvada Community Food Bank is a Colorado nonprofit 501 c (3) corporation formed in 1982 by, interfaith organization, Arvada Resources for Mind and Spirit (ARMS) to serve the needy and vulnerable in our community. Our goal is to secure the resources (food, financial, physical, and volunteers) necessary to provide programs to help meet the nutritional needs of qualifying community members.
From the beginning the Arvada Community Food Bank has worked with city government, churches, schools, civic organizations, businesses and private citizens to ensure that the residents of Arvada and surrounding communities would have a place to go for emergency food. We have 180 dedicated volunteers that donate a total of 12,670 hours of service to our community each year.
Through various Arvada Community Food Bank programs we strive to improve the quality of life for hungry families and children in our community. It is through unwavering support of the community that we have been able to provide food to those in need for nearly three decades.
It is this legacy which the Arvada Community Food strives to continue. Our generous and hardworking volunteers, supporters, Board of Directors and staff take pride in being an essential strand in the fabric of our community.
